Rhode Island Repossession Laws

With consideration to our clients in the state of Rhode Island we have put together a repo resource guide, with all of the needed regulations relating to the state’s property recovery system that you need to know.

More notably, you must take into consideration that a repo can only occur in Rhode Island if the security interests are shown on title with the lien holder. Also, license plates must remain with the debtor. And, then repo recovery is only allowed so long as there is not a disturbance of the peace. For license registration, you can contact the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles at (401) 277-2064. These items: a Bill of Sale, Title and inspection are required for liquidation.

In Rhode Island Midwest Lenders Services often provides repossession services on everything from cars to houses. We gladly process your items from the initial repo to its resale time. Furthermore, then we take care of storage, inspection and anything else that is needed for your recovered equipment.
