Idaho Repossession Laws

Midwest Lenders Services has compiled a resource relating to repossession rules and regulations in Idaho. Such information mainly pertains to the state’s repo system and what not to do.

Speaking more specifically, in the state of Idaho, you must know that security interests are to be shown on the title which remains with the lien holder. Also, license plates need to remain with the vehicle in question. And repossession is only acceptable as long as there is no dispute of peace. For additional information on registration, contact the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles at (208) 334-8663, and, also note that there shouldbe a title, and affidavit of repossession for liquidation to be accpeted.
